With its two Bachelor’s degree programmes – ‘Design’ and ‘Computer Science and Design’ – and its Master’s degree programme in ‘Applied Design Research’, the Faculty of Design at Hochschule München covers a particularly broad spectrum of design education. As the largest state-funded institution for academic design research and teaching in Munich, it equips around 700 students with the theoretical and practical knowledge required for a career in design. Key areas of focus include photographic design, industrial design, communication design, design and digitality, as well as applied design research. Central to this is always the responsible role that design plays within our society and in the context of the major transformative challenges of our time.
