Description
We humans need things and have things that we don’t need. In our world, which is shaped by consumerism, media staging, and constant change, the question of what determines the value of objects is increasingly being raised.
The way of presentation, packaging, staging in connection with a brand or person, the concept or personal stories play a decisive role in determining the value of the object for the viewer. But what is the value of an object without a viewer to evaluate it? Does the object have thoughts or feelings? Rather not… then is there only material left? The value of the material is determined by society…
So it is the self-reflection of the viewer in the object that makes up the value of the object after all.
This thesis is translated in the model from a rusk that is backlit, through which the inside, the “soul”, can be seen. In the mirror around it, the contour of the viewer can be seen.
