Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing creative processes. Caught between enthusiasm and uncertainty, the question arises as to how designers can develop a self-determined and reflected approach to this technology. The master’s project WHAT CAN AI DO? is aimed at students and young professionals from the design sector who have previously had little or no contact with AI. The focus is on a bimedial project work that invites experimental work with AI via low-threshold task formats. The exercises range from playful introductions to application-oriented scenarios and promote individual ways of working, critical thinking, and creative independence. Instead of reproducing standardized results, users are encouraged to develop their own perspectives and methods in interaction with AI. The tasks are published weekly via a website, and a book serves as a companion medium.
