Description
A brand for the sustainable repair and maintenance of carbon components in cycling. Inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of visible repair, the project combines repair with self-empowerment, narration, and conscious visibility. Carbon is a resource-intensive, costly material with a large ecological footprint – making preservation and reuse all the more important. The bicycle serves as an activist object. Kintsugi offers technical and philosophical approaches to understanding repair as a conscious practice and strengthening the relationship between humans and objects. The project translates these values into a contemporary brand identity that manifests itself both in the media space and in the urban context.
