Description

“When way too much is too much” emerged from the observation of our present, in which everything happens simultaneously. The project deals with the feeling that the world is becoming denser than we can process, and asks how design can make a state visible that is often felt rather than named. The result is an experimental book that approaches the “too much” from an emotional, social, political, and physical perspective. With the help of typography, letterpress printing, and material design, different forms of overabundance are explored and translated between compression and emptiness, stimulus and calm, as well as holding on and letting go. In this way, the “too much” is not only described, but made physically and visually tangible.
