Description
My bachelor thesis is an illustrated graphic novel about the bearded vulture, a fascinating bird of prey that was considered dangerous for a long time and was therefore almost eradicated. The aim of the project was to convey knowledge about the species and its history in an accessible and emotional way.
Instead of presenting the information in the form of a classic non-fiction book, the graphic novel tells a story that is oriented towards the real characteristics and historical perception of the bearded vulture. Through illustrations, visual storytelling, and a narrative approach, topics such as prejudice, misunderstandings, and species conservation are conveyed.
The work combines research, illustration, character development, and book design. It shows how complex content can be communicated in an understandable and appealing way through narrative and design means.
