Perspectives on Wind Turbines
The bachelor thesis Perspectives on Wind Turbines photographically examines how people perceive wind turbines. Technical data such as height, output, and location are combined with the personal opinions of citizens, regardless of whether they support or oppose wind energy.
The focus is on a journey through North Rhine-Westphalia to selected wind turbines with special technical features. The resulting book combines custom-made maps, photographs, interviews, and researched data. In addition, travel photographs show the routes between the locations and create a deliberate contrast to the objectively structured, data-based pages.
Thus, the work connects objective information with subjective experiences and makes the diversity of perspectives on wind turbines visually and contextually comprehensible.
