»Undurchsichtige Architektur«
Ein fotografischer Blick auf die Eigenart der Ästhetik industrieller Anlagen.
Description
The work is a photographic view of industrial plants and was created entirely with an analogue large-format camera using 4×5 inch negatives. The architectural photographs were taken on black-and-white film to consistently reduce the imagery to form, texture, and surface.
Colour film was chosen for the products to highlight the finely nuanced details of each item. This creates a visual contrast to the archival view of the industrial facades.
A clear association between product and the photographed industrial facilities is intentionally avoided. The work does not aim to document production processes but focuses entirely on the aesthetic aspects of industrial plants. By deliberately omitting any ‘pointing finger’, viewers are free to engage in the act of association themselves.
