Description

This work emerges from an exploration of the hormone dopamine and its interactions in design, examining how the motivation hormone can influence the creative design process.
The focus lies on the narrative design process: how can motivation and joy shape design?
The object series ‘Ula’ is the result of an intuitive design process. The handles are characteristic of the aluminium box objects. They result from a deliberate deformation of the front surfaces in opposite directions, transforming a flat surface into a three-dimensional form.
The boxes can be flexibly stacked, providing storage space and shelving. Supplemented by a tray, the series moves effortlessly between functional storage objects and sculptural accents in living spaces.
As a formative concept, the object series offers potential for further design explorations beyond the current stage of development.
