Description

In the fast-paced daily routine, many people find themselves rushing when leaving the house as they search for keys or other important items. Tapp is the answer to this everyday problem – a wall-mounted light that not only provides illumination but is activated by a simple, intuitive gesture: placing or gently tapping items. The light indicates the location of the user’s belongings. The bowl-shaped lamp simultaneously serves as a natural storage surface. Order arises not through compulsion, but through a design that encourages unconscious self-organisation.

The design of Tapp is based on the theory of ‘Design without Thought’. Tapp takes advantage of exactly this behaviour: the casual placing of keys or small items is supported by the design. A kind of visual memory space is created – a place where important things are not only placed but also remembered.
