STONELINE
Much Room for Improvement
Description
Leo Stolte's bachelor thesis entitled "STONELINE" deals with the interaction of objects in outdoor areas and their effects on the perception of nature and naturalness. It offers a solution to the dwindling reference to naturalness through the use of organic surface structures. A central aspect of the work is the haptic-tactile underside of the seat, which is enhanced by a photogrammetrically stylized stone structure. The recyclable, abrasion-resistant, and weatherproof material is particularly suitable for outdoor use. The basic structures are made of a mono-material and contribute to the sustainability of the product. The work promotes awareness of the perception of nature and naturalness outdoors and contributes to the preservation of the environment while providing high comfort to the user.
