Description
Being an adult today primarily means being adapted, useful, and functional. Everything that is done has a purpose and a goal. Appearing playful is quickly seen as naive, as a distraction from what matters. But perhaps this is precisely where a misconception lies. Perhaps, in constant doing, something is lost that efficiency cannot replace. A step back into childhood, towards purposeless action, could be a step forward: towards an adulthood that not only functions but also comes closer to itself.
STILL TIME TO PLAY is a playground concept for adults, consisting of three sculptural objects that invite play. The resulting play sphere offers adults a space marked off from the usefulness of everyday life, where only the present experience counts — not performance or productivity. This free play strengthens mental, physical, and social well-being.
The play objects were created using play as a design method, thus formally capturing playfulness itself.
