Description

Imagine having furniture that can grow and change.
This project experiments with different approaches to extend the life of furniture.

Multifunctionality: Your ‘companion’ becomes whatever you currently need — shelf, bench, trolley, etc.

Customization: Swap colours, add new parts, expand and redesign your ‘companion’.

Emotional attachment: The ‘companions’ come to life in a story in which their dreams are told. This is meant to inspire people to modify and change them instead of replacing them.

Each ‘companion’ comes with a box (furniture backpack) containing products your ‘companion’ provides for you — including a manual, first aid kit, extensions, etc.

Holes in the body hold add-ons such as castors, handles, hooks, or decorative elements.
All modifications can be done intuitively and without tools.
A ‘companion’ is more than just a piece of furniture — it is a loyal companion that adapts to change.
