SCHICHTWECHSEL examines the visible and invisible layers that shape our identity in everyday life. The starting point is professional roles and their cultural codes – from authority and responsibility to mobility, care, or service. Instead of reproducing workwear, the collection translates these observations into contemporary streetwear.

Through the analysis of social roles, personal conversations, and the investigation of urban everyday spaces, eight looks were created that mediate between function, belonging, and individual identity. Material layering, signs of wear, textile manipulations, and fragmented uniform codes become design tools to make social transitions visible.

SCHICHTWECHSEL understands clothing as a cultural document and directs its gaze toward the levels within people whose contributions shape everyday life without always being visible.
