Description

SALUTO is a response to precarious conditions in emergency rooms. Based on numerous interviews with experts, SALUTO is divided into two parts: an app and a furniture series.

The app replaces the previous digital infrastructure and actively involves patients: it enables self-triage with reduced barriers – such as language barriers, communicates waiting times transparently and in real time, includes the ePA (electronic patient record), and imparts medical literacy. It empowers patients to manage their own time, reduces bias to enable equal treatment for marginalized groups, and saves practitioners double bookkeeping and working time through automation.

The furniture series is hospital-compliant, modular, and tailored to the varying needs of those waiting. Through zoning, it allows for more privacy, also for waiting relatives, considers a wide variety of physical limitations and contexts, and can be adapted to different departments.
