Description
The project examines textile as a resonant medium in the tense interplay between industrialization and craftsmanship. At the center of a spatial installation are the different logics of industrial production and artisanal practice. The starting point is recorded sounds of industrial weaving machines from the Textilwerk Bocholt, whose rhythm, repetition, and deviation shape work and perception. These acoustic structures are transferred into hand-woven processes. The fabric panels make temporality visible through structure and material variation. The video makes movement and sound tangible, while the book opens up textile rhythms sequentially. Together, the elements form an installation in which textile as a carrier of rhythm becomes sensually experiential.
