Description

‘OFF’ follows the principles of modular design and demonstrates its potential for sustainable structures. The design consists of a camp bed, table, stool and tarpaulin. The elements can be adapted, modified and combined in form and function.

The basic structure is based on extrusion profiles and uses a standardised, established system, supplemented by new components. Given the need for circular consumer goods, aluminium offers a special quality. The structure is fully demountable, repairable, expandable, replicable, adaptable, reusable, resource efficient and recyclable.

‘OFF’ represents the increasing dynamism and desire for greater flexibility of a younger generation. It is intended to question the role of traditional living spaces and to expand awareness of personal space by locating it in nature. It is not intended to represent a closed state, but rather perspectives for transformation and open systems.
