Description
Through my research for my diploma thesis on environmental disasters, I realized that disaster management in Germany offers significant room for improvement — particularly in warning systems, public education, and the promotion of self-help capabilities. The goal was to develop a solution that warns and prepares the population more effectively.
The NotApp offers personalized warning profiles and specific instructions for various disaster scenarios. Digital checklists support stockpiling. It is complemented by articles on preparedness and behavior, as well as a quiz and a mascot that visualizes the content.
The NotBook provides information even during network outages thanks to DAB+ radio, automatically activates in the event of a crisis, and delivers instructions via radiotext. Equipped with pull-dynamo, radio, light, power bank, and Bluetooth speaker, it is suitable for everyday use, compact, and low-barrier — for greater safety and preparedness in emergencies.
