Description

With the progressive expansion of renewable energies, the storage of electricity is becoming a key task of the energy transition.

Until now, the use of private electricity storage systems has required a large amount of space. The NEST electricity storage system, which was specially designed for indoor use, is intended above all to open up the opportunity for people in apartments and urban centers to store energy and benefit from dynamic electricity tariffs.

The central rotary wheel visualizes current phases of storing and consuming through its direction of rotation and speed. In analogy to a clock, NEST thus refers to time windows in which it makes systemic and economic sense to store or consume electricity, or to postpone energy-intensive processes. NEST thus democratizes access to a future electricity market. At the same time, the object refers to a system on which we depend daily, but whose dynamics mostly remain invisible, in order to promote a more conscious use of energy.
