Description
Mission Zyklus is a hybrid learning system that offers children playful and low-threshold access to the topic of menstruation. The bachelor’s thesis deals with the question of how knowledge about the menstrual cycle can be conveyed comprehensibly through analogue interaction and digital additions. The goal is to develop a learning object that can be used before the first menstruation and helps children to better understand biological processes, physical changes, and emotional aspects. To achieve this, Mission Zyklus combines tactile objects with playful tasks and digital content. The method is based on design research, the development of a prototype, and the reflection on its application in an educational context. In this way, the work examines how design can contribute to making menstrual education more accessible and interactive.
