Description

Manca is an oven inspired by a centuries-old Peruvian tradition called “Pachamanca”. This dish, which is originally cooked in a pit in the ground with glowing stones, is much more than a method of preparation. It is a ritual of community, a celebration of togetherness and connection with nature.

With Manca, this tradition is translated into a new context. The oven provides a clear and safe structure for the complex cooking process and makes it experienceable in urban spaces without losing sight of the cultural origin. It creates a place where people can come together, cook together and feel the value of collective action.

Manca is an attempt to build a bridge that makes it possible to keep an old tradition alive amidst changing times in a modern urban environment.
