The professional field of designers is also in a state of constant change. Time and again, questions arise about the end of familiar models and the emergence of new paths. Processes change our practice and challenge us to continuously question and redefine our own role.
This book has no answers, but rather gathers diverse perspectives and attitudes. The starting point for this was an interactive workshop, from which a catalogue of questions emerged. This formed the foundation for ten conversations with actors from the design industry. Central questions were in focus: What does sustainable design mean? What potential does collective work hold and how can design enable or deny access? The goal is not to dictate ready-made answers, but rather to use these discourses to open up individual approaches to the new tasks, responsibilities, and requirements of design and to create spaces for attitude.
