Description

Ultrasound is the most widely used imaging technique in medicine worldwide. However, studies show that the current design of ultrasound probes does not meet ergonomic requirements and leads to cramps and muscle complaints in many physicians.
HybridEcho aims to enable comfortable working and prevent muscle strain through its innovative design. Its modularity allows for a wide range of applications, from stationary to mobile diagnostics, and increases reparability.
The developed design, with its asymmetry and modularity, stands in sharp contrast to conventional ultrasound probes and offers great innovation potential with regard to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 12 for sustainable, reliable healthcare. A more ergonomic probe design makes work easier for medical staff and ensures good medical care for patients.
