GANZ NORMAL ANDERS
Sichtbarkeit von Körperlicher Behinderung
Description
‘GANZ NORMAL ANDERS’ is a self-designed print magazine that addresses the visibility and representation of people with physical disabilities. Based on personal experience and social interest, a project was created that places individual stories at its centre – far removed from clichés and pity.
In eight interviews, those affected provide insights into their everyday lives, their perceptions and how they deal with attributions. Design, language and perspective are consciously interwoven to create new narrative spaces and break down existing stereotypes.
The magazine sees itself as a contribution to a differentiated and empathetic portrayal of disability – for greater visibility, dialogue and understanding.
