Description

‘Mamagotchi’ humorously highlights Generation Z’s tension between independence and the need for parental support. This phenomenon is addressed satirically in a mockumentary. An AI mother initially seems to offer the perfect solution but increasingly develops into a grotesque exaggeration. This overstatement leads viewers from initial fascination to critical reflection on their own dependencies. The project combines film and app to replace parental care with technology and to reveal Gen Z’s inner conflicts. The aim is to spark engagement with generation-specific needs and digital dependencies through humour and self-irony – a creative commentary on an unspoken generational conflict.
