Description

‘Dann kam alles anders’ (‘Then Everything Changed’) portrays animals that usually only reach a fraction of their natural life expectancy and often live isolated from the outside world. Each year, a small number of these farm animals, bred and kept for human purposes, manage to escape their fate. This project was created on a farm that made the decision long ago to stop livestock farming and now offers these animals refuge, protecting them from further exploitation.

Primarily, the work offers insight into the animals’ stories and the freedom they have gained. It invites a shift in perspective and opens space to question today’s treatment of farm animals. The aim is to create a connection between humans and animals, offering access to the beauty, worth, and individuality of these beings.
