Description

Bairy is a very light, quickly inflatable, and easy to store stroller. The foundation for the stroller was laid over the course of a series of tests of numerous mobile volume constructions. The pram demonstrates how complex constructions and load-bearing chassis can be replaced by a single inflatable volume body. Sophisticated cutting patterns, which were then transferred to the material using a CNC-controlled film welding machine, were used to create the first prototypes of the stroller. During the course of the project, the shapes and functions were optimised to produce a 1:1 model of the pram. That is how, based on the principle of the material properties of an inflatable body, a foundation was created that moves away from rigid materials and constructions and toward newly conceived structures and their qualities.
