My bachelor thesis aims to raise awareness and create sensitivity for the topic of the dog-human relationship.
The high return rate of dogs to animal shelters shows that – despite extensive information available – there is still a lack of awareness regarding the dog-human relationship and the associated responsibility. There is an urgent need to better educate and sensitize dog owners and potential dog owners.
I developed a design-based solution for the following question: how and in what form can education create awareness of the importance of a harmonious dog-human relationship in order to promote responsibility and self-reflection among potential dog owners, current dog owners, and within society? Several designed educational print materials were created and compiled in a binder.
