Description

Archivisk is a coworking system for designers.

In product and industrial design, many objects are created in intermediate stages. For coworking in digital design, there are tools like Miro or GitHub. However, there is no equivalent for physical work: documentation, archiving, and sharing are often spread across multiple individual programmes or locations and are not easily integrated with digital tools.

Archivisk is open source and combines a modular cabinet system with a plugin for the note-taking app Obsidian. The physical archive is based on the Zettelkasten principle, is expandable, and also functions independently. The plugin enables digital documentation, linking, and a streamlined interface for design processes. Both components can be used separately or together. Each object, material, or idea receives a unique number that is assigned both analogously and digitally. This creates a connected, searchable archive that can be shared on GitHub.
