Where do you really come from? This question has accompanied me as an adopted child throughout my life and led me to question the traditional image of family. In my book Emotion Meets Tradition, I explore the diversity of family structures and show that bonding has nothing to do with genetics.
Adoption is a central part of the project and illustrates that family is not defined by blood ties, but by love, trust, and reliability. The accompanying film, featuring interviews with people living in different family structures, challenges social norms and raises awareness of the diversity of family.
The project dispels prejudices and shows that true family arises where security and trust grow — regardless of origin and traditional expectations.
