Description

Experimenting with traditional ceramic casting, the FRAGMENTS series explores the fascinating aesthetics of destruction and renewal. Each vessel captures the fragile balance between endings and new beginnings – like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
The interplay of irregular surfaces, sharp edges, and striking corners gives each piece its characteristic raw beauty. Shapes and textures emerge through the deliberate destruction of solid plaster moulds, embracing both violence and chance.
Guided by a deeply tactile and experimental approach, each surface is individually crafted, resulting in unmistakable sculptural one-of-a-kinds.
The vessels are created through a modular system, stacking individual mould elements in countless unique constellations — as abundant and diverse as the stars in the sky.
FRAGMENTS reflects a process rooted in making, touching, and experiencing — a dialogue between hand, material, and transformation.
