Porcelain and Salt
is a set of porcelain tableware to be used in fine dining restaurants. It's shaped to highlight the use of salt. The usually flat inner area of a plate is either enlarged or divided into sections to create separate levels and save the salt crystals from dissolving. Cooperating with a local restaurant a salt-based, five-course dinner was constructed. Using different types and shapes of salt in combination with the porcelain pieces increases both value and attention for these materials.
