Description

Digital accessibility is a complex topic for many designers and web professionals: guidelines are extensive, effects are often invisible. Webfrei makes these connections tangible. The interactive web application, which was implemented in Webflow, translates the requirements of WCAG 2.1 into understandable learning modules, practical exercises, and simulations that show how people with different limitations experience digital content.

Users work through lessons on topics such as typography, color contrasts, or alternative texts, solve interactive tasks, and receive direct feedback on their decisions. Through playful elements such as progress indicators, points, and awards, abstract standards are transformed into concrete experiences and courses of action.

Webfrei organizes complex knowledge, makes invisible barriers visible, and creates an understanding of different perspectives, with the goal of making the web more accessible for everyone.
