Cardiovascular diseases are among the leading causes of death in women, but are often detected too late. Since many medical standards are based on male reference values, female symptoms and risk factors frequently remain unconsidered. This is exactly where CORA comes in: The hybrid service accompanies women in their cardiovascular prevention individually, close to everyday life, and long-term. CORA combines a digital platform with a physical network of partner institutions, such as pharmacies, general practitioner practices, or health centers. This allows prevention elements to be integrated into everyday life flexibly and decentrally. The app reminds users of screening appointments, prepares medical knowledge in an understandable way, evaluates health data using AI, and offers low-threshold support in the event of abnormalities. The goal is to sensitize women to their own health at an early stage, to promote active participation in prevention, and to make gender-specific risks visible.
