The project ‘Vom Leben und Sterben’ (‘Of Life and Death’) focuses on developing an interactive information design that aims to help people engage with the topics of dying and advance care planning at an early stage. The goal is to break the societal taboo surrounding these subjects and provide low-threshold access.
The work combines various design elements such as cards, posters, and an interactive website to present complex content in a clear and accessible way. At its core are the five W-questions of advance care planning, which serve as the project’s structural framework. The aim is to both impart knowledge and promote social acceptance.
In doing so, the project contributes to recognising dying as a natural part of life and facilitates personal responsibility in making advance care decisions.
