Description

Cities are currently particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change such as heat, drought and heavy rainfall. ‘VOL_’ is one building block in the blue-green infrastructure package to make cities more resilient in terms of water management and vegetation. ‘VOL_’ is a water reservoir for urban areas that creates retention volume and makes rainwater available for irrigation of vegetation. It is freestanding and above ground, allowing a high degree of flexibility in the choice of location. Water is collected via a collector and directed into a storage tank. The storage volume is formed from a PP sheet so that the amount of water stored can be intuitively read at any time.
