Inside & Outside
Uncovering Hidden Stories
Description
Dedicated to the complex interplay between the visible and invisible aspects of design, this bachelor’s thesis aims to uncover the deeper meanings within everyday objects. The research will focus on how tangible materials and sensory interactions evoke a range of emotions and create a deep connection between individuals and their environment. Characteristics of a design language that emphasise the importance of sensory experience in shaping perception will be uncovered. Through hands-on experimentation with materials such as papier-mâché, the research seeks to bridge the gap between the visible and invisible realms of design, embodying visible aspects of design while exploring their intangible effects. Ultimately, the aim is to enable a deeper engagement with design in order to broaden general perceptions.
