Description

Acoustic instruments almost always provide the player with haptic feedback which is often only very subtly perceptible, such as the vibration of the instrument body. In the case of electronic hardware and software instruments, there is usually no haptic feedback, since the tone is generated electronically and the sound is usually produced through loudspeakers. However, this haptic feedback is of great importance. In the following work I explored the question of how vibrotactile feedback can be used in a music controller to create a kind of symbiosis between man and machine.
