Urban Komorebi demonstrates how mystery can be integrated into workspace design. It draws on the concept of the “promise of new information”: a visual cue suggests the presence of a nearby window, even though no actual window exists.
Combining a light installation with wall décor, the product consists of layered components, including fiberboard, an LED strip, opal acrylic glass, a visual layer with shadow cutouts that can be customized during the production phase, and a canvas outer shell. The dimmable light offers three color temperature settings, allowing users to adapt the atmosphere to different needs and preferences. Potential use scenarios include transition spaces, locations near individual workstations, and shared common areas.
