Description

OIKOPHORIA is an experimental research project on the meaning of home in an increasingly mobile society. It focuses on the contrast between stationary and transient ways of living, as well as the question of how home, protection, and belonging emerge when a permanent place of residence loses its importance.

Based on furniture and sculptural objects, the work examines the relationship between body, space, and identity. Through deconstruction and reconstruction, using experimental pattern development, traditional craftsmanship techniques, and AI-supported image generation, fragments of the home are transferred to the body.

The resulting works make the areas of tension between permanence and mobility, tradition and technology, as well as physical and emotional home visible. Design becomes a tool to reflect on and experience the complexity of modern life concepts.
