Description

In the Urban Harvesting project, I deal with the materials and semi-finished products that can be found in urban areas. Materials that originate, for example, as waste from the city’s households and institutions.

Unfortunately, all the circular products in the world only help us to a limited extent, because every kind of consumption causes environmental damage. Especially when circular products become more and more fast-paced, we have gained nothing.

With my project, I extend the material cycle. The dimension of time plays a particular role in this topic. Even conventional non-recyclable products can be sustainable if there is no need for recycling at all. And if these products continue to be used.

With the upcycling approach, I address this aspect and extend the lifespan of already existing products in another form. Almost no emissions are released for this. Neither in production nor in transport.
