Description

A spatial installation that critically reflects on the role of mothers in the design industry and their (in)visibility in a self-proclaimed progressive working environment. The work questions structures that claim equality but do not live it consistently. In five sound collages, four mothers share personal experiences, challenges, and perspectives. The focus is on care work, choice feminism, and equal opportunities.

Headphones suspended from the ceiling invite visitors to immerse themselves in the acoustic contributions. Squarely arranged questions structure the space. A typographically designed fabric banner and an overhead projector open up the possibility to contribute one’s own thoughts and to expand the installation in a participatory way.
