Description

Previously, cnc-controlled plasma cutting of metal pipes was reserved for industry. This project makes it possible to cut precisely fitting joints from pipes with little space or directly on a construction site.
The cnc plasma cutter was developed for crafters, prosumers and makers. Similar to existing open source machines, the components can be manufactured in a local fablab and the materials, electronics and software are readily available and affordable.
In addition, the machine can be improved and expanded by any user by making the 3D data available free of charge and can in turn be shared.
The archetypal tools were created using the machine and question the relationship between humans and technology.
