Description
testnest is a haptic modular system for designing physical user interfaces. The compact case contains various control elements in modular form, CAD-compatible connectors, and a set of cards with visual instructions and dimensional guidelines for detailed design. Designers can test the modules directly on, for example, 3D-printed prototypes using a LEGO-like plug-in mechanism, compare variants, and gather user feedback. Integrated haptic feedback provides a realistic operating feel.
Thanks to its modular structure, testnest can be used in design studios, universities, or with specialised toolkits for specific industries. The playful branding with a bird motif and the name combine testing with creativity, fun and technology. testnest makes haptic interfaces tangible, shortens access to expert knowledge and creates new space for physical design in the digital age.
