Description

“TactKit” is a toolkit for developing tactile feedback for wearable devices. It consists of hardware models and code for modulating tactile patterns. Our sense of touch is exceptional and multimodal. TactKit goes beyond vibrations, leveraging the tactile abilities of the skin. In order to integrate a wider range of tactile feedback patterns into wearable devices, it draws inspiration from tactile gestures between people. TactKit also serves as an online platform, where users can download hardware 3D models and test pre-set pattern codes. Users can use this toolkit to design and test tactile feedback for their projects, or simply to experiment with new tactile feedback. The toolkit can also serve as a basis for users to devise new ways to develop tactile patterns and contribute new inspiration to the community.
