In Southern Germany, people don’t just speak – they babble, chat, grumble. Dialects carry memories, shape childhood, and accompany everyday life. This book tells personal stories about growing up with a dialect, moments of belonging, adapting, or consciously holding on to the dialect. Between the Alb, the Alps, and the Altmühl, an atlas of individual linguistic landscapes emerges, showing dialect as an emotional and living cultural asset. An AR application extends the book with short videos and voice recordings. They are projected onto the pages, making the dialects audible and enabling direct interaction with the personal stories.
