Description
The website seit-hanau.de is the basis of the project SEIT 19/02/20 HANAU. It serves as a living archive for texts that have been created since the right-wing terrorist attack on February 19, 2020, in Hanau. The aim is to make the voices of those affected visible, to promote social exchange, and to strengthen the critical engagement with racism. Posters are created from the texts collected on the website, which modularly form a collective billboard. Each voice thus becomes part of a common discourse. In addition, people can interactively create their own posters and post them in urban spaces. SEIT 19/02/20 HANAU combines a digital platform, an interactive tool, and physical posters into a cross-media system in which design serves as a tool for democratic and social negotiation processes. In the process, individual contributions become a collective work of remembrance that transfers digital content into public space.
