The diploma thesis Gentleness and Strength creates a connection between the different materials metal and textile. This creates an examination of the aesthetic properties of the chosen materials in the context of historical and contemporary textiles, silhouettes, and structures. The shine, color, and structure of metal form the starting point for the design process of the diploma thesis. The armor, corsetry, and gold embroidery on historical uniforms are translated into a contemporary context and interpreted in a new way through various textile techniques – knitting, weaving, screen printing.
