Description

"Revier" is a flexible storage system for clothes. Designed as an alternative to the conventional wardrobe, it is mobile, light and modular. Revier combines drying, storage and filing in one object, displaying the clothing inventory and subtly emphasising its importance. The open asymmetrical construction offers a wide range of storage and filing options. The function is enhanced by elastic fabric elements, pockets, compartments and various hooks. Clothing reflects personality and it can do so when we store it!

What is the Topic?

Organisation and storage of clothes. The importance of our everyday clothes should be emphasised by the way we store them. A counterexample of Fast Fashion.

Why does it look like this?

The design is based on observations and interviews conducted on the visibility and role of clothing in the home environment.

What is special?

The clothing should not be hidden in a closed body. They should be displayed and perceived. Possessions, belongings and goods should become visible in order to question individual consumer behaviour.

What is new?

The movement and process of how individual items of clothing are temporarily stored.
