Description
The project deals with the significance and equipping of repair cafés. Repair cafés are volunteer-led repair meetings where guests can repair defective objects together with repair experts. With their free service, they make an important contribution to sustainability and the transfer of knowledge, which this work makes visible.
The design is intended to take into account the needs of repair cafés, such as frequent assembly and disassembly, a lack of storage space, and the shared use of materials. It includes a shared storage and sorting system for tools and materials as well as work mats to protect the tables. Through graphic elements, the concept of repair is communicated beyond the products themselves.
